Why Local is Important

We believe in supporting our local businesses and helping them thrive. All of the businesses that participate in our program must meet special criteria to be considered "local."


  • At least 50% of business is locally-owned.
  • Business owner has the decision-making ability to participate in independent marketing programs.
  • Business owner has decision-making ability to make purchases from local vendors.
  • Business must have at least 1 but no more than 25 locations.
  • Business must not be part of a franchise brand with more than 200 stores; and if the franchise brand has more than 20 corporate-owned stores, then the entire franchise is excluded.
